FAQs
Common questions about KOPRouter accounts, keys, models, billing, and endpoints.
Log in to the console, open the API Keys page, and click Create to generate a `sk-`-prefixed key. Store it safely — a key is shown in full only once at creation.
Most OpenAI-compatible tools use `/v1`; Anthropic-compatible tools such as Claude Code use the root ``, and the SDK appends `/v1/messages` automatically.
Call `/v1/models`; the `id` list in the response is your available models. Pass those `id` values in the `model` field.
Text is billed by input/output tokens, images per image, speech synthesis per character, video per completed result, and some endpoints per request. Amounts are stored in micro-dollars, and only successful requests are billed.
Usually a missing or invalid API key. Make sure the request carries `Authorization: Bearer sk-...` and the key is complete and not disabled.
Insufficient balance. Top up on the console, or retry after the subscription allowance refreshes.
Rate limited. Lower the request rate or concurrency and retry with exponential backoff.
If a request hangs, is reset, or fails DNS resolution, your network (e.g. mainland China) likely cannot reach KOPRouter directly, so configure a VPN or proxy first. See Network & Proxy: write to `~/.zshrc` on macOS, `~/.bashrc` on Linux, use `setx` on Windows, or simply enable a system proxy (TUN / global mode).
Yes. Set `stream: true` on Chat Completions, Completions, and Responses to stream over SSE.
